Łukašenka ratifies protocol on joint group of forces with Russia

June 29, BPN. The Belarusian ruler has ratified a Belarusian-Russian protocol on regional military cooperation, according to his edict published on the National Legal Portal.

The protocol to a 1997 treaty was signed in order to clarify the planning and financing of joint activities within a regional group of forces, the defense ministry’s press office said.

Minsk and Moscow started creating the group in October amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine, supported by Alaksandr Łukašenka.
