Rubel rises against dollar, yuan at week’s final session

May 5, BPN. The rubel has risen to 2.8287 per US dollar and 4.0884 per 10 yuan at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

At the same time, it fell to 3.6901 per 100 Russian ruble.

There was no trading in euros, with EUR/BYN standing at 3.192 since May 3.

In the outgoing week (May 2-5), the rubel gained 3.31 percent versus the greenback, 2.79 percent against the yuan, and 1.86 percent against the common European currency. It fell 2.59 percent against the Russian currency.

It lost 6.91 percent of its value against the dollar in the first four months of 2023.
