International Olympic Committee has not sent Belarusians invitation to Olympics

July 26, BPN. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has officially invited 203 national committees to the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.

Invitations have not been sent to the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of Belarus and Russia, the IOC said.

The IOC has previously announced that it will take its decision on the participation of individual, neutral athletes with a Russian or Belarusian passport at the appropriate time.

After Russia invaded Ukraine from Belarus in February 2022, the IOC advised sports federations to ban Belarusians and Russians from international competitions.

The IOC also excluded the NOC of Guatemala, which is currently suspended.
