Troops training at joint centers prohibited from meddling in internal affairs of host country

July 23, BPNBelarusian and Russian troops based at training centers in the two countries are required to “respect sovereignty” and prohibited from “meddling into internal affairs” of the host country, says the agreement governing joint military training centers.

The Belarusian government published the accord at its National Legal Internet Portal on July 22.

Belarus and Russia may establish joint centers under joint command not only for training, but also for performing “other training and combat tasks,” including combat alert duty and “combat application of arms and equipment,” the agreement says.
