Interior ministry labels Reform.news as “extremist” group

April 29, Pozirk. The Belarusian interior ministry designated the Reform.news media project as an “extremist” group yesterday, says the updated register, which now contains 364 entries.

Officials identified Fiodar Paŭlučenka, Alaksandar Atroščankaŭ and Alaksiej Žukaŭ as members, blacklisting reform.news, reformby.org, an email address, several YouTube and Telegram channels, as well as other social media pages with links to the media project.

Earlier this month, the Belarusian Investigative Center was repeatedly added to the official “extremist” register with Paŭlučenka named as one of those involved.

In March 2025, Russia added Paŭlučenka to its wanted list.

Following the crackdown on the 2020 postelection protests, authorities in Belarus have equated criticism, solidarity, advocacy, the free media and free expression to extremism and terrorism.
