Rubel moves up against US dollar

July 12, BPN. The rubel has climbed against the US dollar but has depreciated slightly against the yuan and ruble at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

It traded at 3.0278 per dollar, 4.2047 per 10 yuan and 3.3416 per 100 Russian rubles.

There was no trading in euros, with EUR/BYN standing at 3.3231.

Last week (July 4-7), the rubel dropped 0.73 percent against the dollar, 1.2 percent against the euro and 1.3 percent against the yuan. It jumped 3.12 percent against the Russian currency.

The Belarusian currency lost 10.88 percent of its value against the dollar in the first six months.
