Russian nuclear warheads unlikely persent in Belarus – Ukrainian general

July 5, BPN. Ukraine cannot confirm that the first batch of Russian nuclear warheads has been delivered to Belarus, Brig Gen Oleksiy Gromov has told the Ukrinform news agency in an interview.

The storage of nuclear ammunition requires special conditions and a maintenance base, he said.

“This is a very complicated technological process,” he added.

The Belarusian leader claimed last week that a significant part of the Russian nuclear arsenal had been delivered to Belarus. “The Russians are maintaining these nuclear weapons and we are helping them,” he said. “It turns out that it is not an easy activity.”
