Łukašenka says to offer peace plan to neighbors

June 30, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka has said Belarus will offer a “plan for good-neighborliness and peace” to its neighbors but warned the West “not to test Slavic patience and its own fate.”

“If our peoples’ statehood, independence, territorial integrity and security come under real threat, we will respond adequately without any hesitation,” he said in Minsk, as quoted by the defense ministry’s press office.

He added that he knew the coordinates of “decision-making centers” and approved these military targets two days ago.

He also criticized Belarusian nationalist units fighting abroad and allegedly planning to overthrow his government as having unrealistic plans.

“We extend the hand of peace to you again, not because we are afraid of your ‘regiments’ and ‘choragiews [small tactical units],'” he said.
