June 27, BPN. Nominal gross average pay (before taxes and other mandatory payments) in Belarus rose by 3.63 percent to 1,861 rubels ($618) in May, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) reported.
Higher wages and lending expansion may push up prices in Belarus this year, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) warned earlier.
Consumer prices fell by 0.28 percent in May yet rose by 2.66 percent in the first five months of 2023 and 3.7 percent year on year, according to Belstat.
