Belarus’ official coronavirus death toll rises to 6,698

March 17, BPN. The total number of confirmed coronavirus infection cases in Belarus increased by 1,789 from 944,885 on Tuesday to 946,674 on Wednesday, with the death toll rising by 10 from 6,688 to 6,698, according to the country’s health ministry.

The ministry said that a total of 942,135 people had recovered from the coronavirus, and 718 people had been discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours.

As many as 12,688,661 tests for the coronavirus had been carried out in the country by Wednesday, with 18,946 tests conducted in the past 24 hours.

As of March 17, as many as 5,802,000 people in Belarus had already received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and over 5,289,000 people had been fully vaccinated with two doses.
