US to work closely with Poland on Belarus as Poland takes over the OSCE chair, Blinken says

During a phone conversation with his Polish counterpart Zbigniew Rau, the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken discussed developments in Belarus and Ukraine, emphasizing the role of close allied cooperation within the OSCE in 2022, when Poland would take over the organization’s chair.

On his Twitter page, the US Secretary of State referred to the dialogue with the Polish Foreign Minister as “an excellent conversation.” He promised “unwavering support for transatlantic security” to the ally.

The press service of the Polish Foreign Ministry reported that the diplomats discussed “current security situation in Europe, including the escalation of Russian Federation’s hostile activities towards Ukraine and the continued hybrid attack by Belarus at its border with Poland.”
