Russian defense minister in Minsk for joint board meeting
October 22, Pozirk. Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov has arrived in Minsk for a joint board meeting of the two defense ministries, the Belarusian defense ministry reported.
The two countries’ milistary brass is to discuss the functioning of the regional group of forces, proposals to improve common military infrastructure and integrated air defenses, joint operational and combat training programs.
The meeting comes days after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of pushing for the deployment of ballistic missiles in Belarus to step up its attacks on western Ukraine.
