September 11, Pozirk. Belarus’ weather stations registered a new all-time temperature high for September 10 with 30 degrees Celsius in Vasilevičy, Homiel region, setting a new record after 94 years of observations, according to Pozirk’s analysis of Biełhidramiet’s data.
Local temperature records were also broken at 11 weather stations in the Homiel, Mahiloŭ and Viciebsk regions. In Horki, Mahiloŭ region, the temperature reached 27C, matching the record set 117 years ago.
Two days ago, Belarus set 20 temperature records, including a 94-year high of 28C in Minsk.
Temperatures are expected to cool in the coming days, falling below 22C between September 11 and 13.
