Rubel strengthens against dollar, euro on August 21

August 21, Pozirk. The rubel rose to 2.9756 against the US dollar at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

The Belarusian currency has also strengthened to 3.4734 against the euro, 4.44 per 10 yuan, but weakened against the Russian ruble, trading at 3.5996 per 100 rubles.

In the outgoing week (August 17 – 21), the rubel has strengthened by 0.5 percent against the dollar and 0.68 percent against the yuan but weakened by 0.83 percent against the euro and 0.78 percent against the Russian ruble.

The Belarusian currency lost 0.37 percent of its value against the dollar in the first seven months of 2026.
