Opposition leader to meet Dutch PM, attend PES congress in Amsterdam

October 17, Pozirk. Belarusian opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja has started a two-day visit to the Netherlands, where she will meet Dutch politicians and attend the annual Congress of the Party of European Socialists (PES), her aide Franak Viačorka told Pozirk.
European Council President António Costa, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and German Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil are also expected to address the congress in Amsterdam.
In November 2023, Cichanoŭskaja addressed the PES congress in Spain’s Málaga.
The politician will also meet with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, Foreign Minister David van Weel and envoys from the European Commission delegation.
Tomorrow, she will also talk to the Belarusian community in the Netherlands and journalists.
