March 29, Pozirk. The Belarusian border authority has accused its Polish and Lithuanian counterparts of refusing to allow a Moldovan children’s choir to enter the European Union.
A group of 25 passengers, including 12 children, was traveling to Moldova after performing in Belarus, the State Border Committee said. Lithuanian border guards reportedly turned it away, citing “national security threats,” while their Polish colleagues said the bus did not have a carrier’s license.
Before the concert in Belarus, the choir reportedly performed in Warsaw on March 22 and did not have issues entering Poland.
The group was offered temporary accommodation at a school near Ašmiany, a town near the Belarusian-Lithuanian border, the Hrodna Regional Executive Committee said on Telegram.
A Moldovan Telegram channel reported that the children had boarded a plane already.
