Belavia to launch Minsk-Delhi passenger service
June 29, BPN. On August 11, Belarusian flagship carrier Belavia launches passenger service between Minsk and Delhi, its press office reported.
Flights will depart Minsk once a week on Fridays, with the second weekly flight to be added on Wednesdays starting from September 20. Belavia will leave Minsk at 8:25 pm arriving in Delhi at 5:35 am local time.
Return flights will depart Delhi at 6:55 am on Saturdays arriving in Minsk at 11:40 am. Passengers will spend about seven hours on board. One-way fares start at €319; round-trip, from €569.
The United States sanctioned Belavia in June 2022 for using the US-made Boeing aircraft in violation of a ban imposed after Minsk’s ally Russia invaded Ukraine earlier that year. On June 7, the US Department of Commerce extended sanctions against Belavia for another six months.
Belavia reportedly continues to operate sanctioned aircraft, including on flights from and to Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Qatar, Russia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
