MPs ratify Belarusian-Russian agreement on training and combat centers

June 28, BPN. The House of Representatives of the Belarusian National Assembly has ratified an agreement on creation and operation of joint military training centers with Russia, its press office reports.

It outlines the main tasks and procedures in the interactions of the defense ministries from both countries that would run the centers, it added.

The government drafted the bill based on Alaksandr Łukašenka’s edict signed on October 31, 2022.

On June 27, the parliamentary foreign affairs committee noted the need for joint training of servicemen from Belarus in Russia citing current military and political situation in the world and “especially near the Belarusian border.”
