Pentagon records no Wagner Group’s military activities in Belarus

June 28, BPN. The United States sees no indications of “any type of additional military activity” linked to the potential presence of the Russian Wagner Group in Belarus, Brigadier General Pat Ryder of the US Department of Defense told journalists on June 27.

“We are aware of Wagner troops being inside Ukraine, but in terms of their specific disposition and whether they may or may not be moving, I’m not going to speculate on that,” he said.

The official described the mercenaries’ group as a “very dangerous organization” associated with “death, destruction, deceit, criminal activity” anywhere it operates.

The United States considers it a transnational criminal organization sanctioning its members and associates, he stressed.
