Łukašenka wants Wagner Group to share combat experience

June 27, BPN. Alaksandr Łukašenka has said he would like Wagner mercenaries to share their military experience with Belarusians, calling it “invaluable.”

In a meeting with Defense Minister Viktar Chrenin in Minsk, he said Wagner commanders would be able to “help and tell us what’s important now,” according to the defense ministry’s press office.

“They will tell about weapons: what worked well and what did not. About tactics, weapons, offensive and defensive,” he added.

A long-standing feud between Russian warlord Yevgeny Prigozhin and Russia’s military brass resulted in his mercenaries taking over a military headquarters in Rostov-on-Don and marching on Moscow over the weekend.

Official reports suggest that Łukašenka has brokered a deal allowing the Wagner boss to go into exile in Belarus because he eventually called off the uprising. The Kremlin said he will not be prosecuted.

Prigozhin’s current whereabouts are unknown.
