Rubel up against US dollar, yuan at BCSE

June 16, BPN. The Belarusian rubel has strengthened against the US dollar to 2.9848 at the June 16 trading session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

It also climbed against the Chinese yuan to 4.1852 per 10 yuan but fell against the Russian currency to 3.5638 per 100 rubles.

The rubel has not traded against the European currency and remained at 3.25 against the euro.

In the outgoing week (June 12 – 16), the rubel fell 1.35 percent against the dollar, 3.34 percent against the euro and 1.44 percent against the Russian currency but remained stable against the yuan.

The Belarusian currency lost 6.8 percent of its value against the dollar in the first five months.
