Russian security officers seize half a ton of cocaine at Belarus border

May 11, BPN. Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) says it has seized a large shipment of cocaine at the Russian-Belarusian border, heading for Poland.

A cache of 116 packages of Latin American drug was found in a lorry with a Turkish license plate in the Smolensk region.

Investigators established that another lorry with a batch of cocaine followed the same route. After it was stopped, a similar cache with 373 packages of the drug was found.

The weight of cocaine seized from the two trucks totaled 492 kg.
