Jailed musician diagnosed with recurrent cancer
May 10, BPN. Jailed musician Jaŭhien Burło has been diagnosed with recurrent cancer, Viasna Homiel reports.
The Tor Band drummer has lost a lot of weight and cannot move around without help. The man’s family asked the detention center to provide him with required treatment, but the request was rejected.
Police arrested The Tor Band and their wives in late October. The Committee for State Security (KGB) declared it an extremist group.
The band was particularly popular during the 2020 protests because of its manifesto songs.
