Pro-Kremlin Donetsk leader: results of Minsk visit “will not be long in coming”
April 27, BPN. The Moscow-appointed head of the so-called “Donetsk people’s republic” described his recent meeting with Alaksandr Łukašenka in Minsk as “fruitful.”
“It was not just a study visit. It has been put into practice straight away,” Denis Pushilin has said in a conference call, TASS reported.
“Alaksandr Ryhoravič instructed the government to discuss issues pertaining to our points of cooperation at once,” he said.
“At that meeting with the government, we were able to identify mutually beneficial points of cooperation,” he added in apparent reference to his meeting with Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parchomčyk.
“The result will not be long in coming,” he said.
Łukašenka and Pushilin met in Minsk on April 18. It was their first formal meeting after Russia illegally annexed the Ukrainian region. The Belarusian leader said he was ready to aid and support Donetsk.
