Belarus’ official coronavirus death toll rises to 5,528
December 28. The total number of confirmed coronavirus infection cases in Belarus increased by 501 from 694,226 on Monday to 694,727 on Tuesday, with the death toll rising by 16 from 5,512 to 5,528, according to the country’s health ministry.
The ministry said that a total of 687,191 people had recovered from the coronavirus, and 423 people had been discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours.
As many as 10,971,567 tests for the coronavirus had been carried out in the country by Monday, with 3,703 tests conducted in the past 24 hours.
As of December 27, as many as 4,669,000 people in Belarus had already received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and over 3,564,000 people had been fully vaccinated with two doses.
