Belarus records June’s all-time high temperature

June 28, Pozirk. Belarus has recorded its highest-ever June temperature in the 145-year history of meteorological observations using accurate measurement instruments.

The new June record of 37.3C was registered in Brest in the early evening of June 28. The previous record of 37.1C was recorded in Akciabrski on June 23, 2021.

The previous June 28 record was surpassed by 3C. The earlier record for the date was 34.3C, recorded in Lelčycy in 2022. Meanwhile, temperatures in eastern Belarus were 10C to 14C lower on the same day.

Final data will be available later in the day. According to forecasts, temperatures may rise to 39C on June 29 before declining on June 30.

Belarus’ all-time temperature record is 38.9C, recorded in Homiel on August 8, 2010.
