May 21, Pozirk. Belarusian law enforcers are conducting multiple searches across Minsk today, targeting, among others, exiled activists’ homes, the Viasna human Rights Center reports.
The Minsk apartment of human rights activist and former political prisoner Uładzimir Łabkovič was among them. Belarusian authorities reportedly filed new criminal charges against him over his public activities since his release. The search was authorized by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Łabkovič, one of Viasna’s leaders, was released in December 2025 following Aalksandar Łukašenka’s deal with Washington. He was forced to leave Belarus.
