May 6, Pozirk. Belarus’ anti-monopoly ministry has banned a village pizzeria from using the descriptions “best in town” and “best Italian pizza chef” in its ads, although the outlet is the only one in the location.
The ministry said that the Papacco Pizza, in the village of Kryvaja Biaroza, Smalavičy district, does not have any certificates to prove the claim.
The pizzeria opened in 2025 and is run by an Italian chef and his wife.
