Ukraine’s strike on Kremniy EL obliterates equipment supplied by Belarus’ Płanar

March 16, Pozirk. Ukraine’s missile strike on Russia’s Kremniy EL plant in Bryansk on March 10 destroyed chip-making equipment supplied by Belarus’ Płanar factory worth millions of US dollars, the BelPol intelligence group said.
BelPol says it has obtained leaked contracts for the delivery of dozens of Płanar machines to Kremniy EL between 2022 and 2025.
The intelligence group listed the types of equipment supplied and published a copy of a contract for the delivery of four EM-5084BM direct step-onto-wafer aligner systems worth $3.9 million.
Płanar is under US, UK, EU and Ukrainian sanctions.
A year ago, BelPol reported that Płanar had used Chinese and South Korean companies to bypass sanctions and purchase US equipment.
Minsk has supported Moscow in its war against Ukraine, which has continued since 2022. Hundreds of Belarusian defense companies fulfill Russian military orders.
