Łukašenka approves Belarus joining Trump’s Board of Peace for Gaza

January 20, Pozirk. Alaksandar Łukašenka has signed a document on Belarus’ accession to the Board of Peace for Gaza, Pul Pervogo, his press office’s unofficial Telegram channel reports.
The Belarusian ruler followed the procedure outlined in a letter from US President Donald Trump, which invited Belarus to act as a founder of the Board of Peace for Gaza, the Belarusian foreign ministry said yesterday.
Ministry’s spokesman Rusłan Varankoŭ described the invitation as recognition of Łukašenka’s merits and authority.
“We appreciate that the American side sees Belarus, as stated directly in the text of the appeal, as a state ready to assume the noble responsibility of building lasting peace, led by the power of example and invest in a safe and prosperous future for coming generations,” he said.
The Board of Peace is part of Trump’s 20-point plan to end the Israel–Hamas war and is expected to temporarily oversee the administration of Gaza.
The exact structure of the board, which will also manage Gaza’s reconstruction, remains unclear. Washington reportedly invited about 50 countries to join it.
