Rubel drops against dollar, euro and yuan on September 9

September 9, Pozirk. The rubel has depreciated against the US, EU and Chinese currencies at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange.
In today’s trading, it dropped to 3.0592 per dollar, 3.588 per euro and 4.2815 per 10 yuan. However, it rose to 3.6641 per 100 Russian rubles.
At a meeting with the National Bank staff and banks’ managers on September 9, Alaksandar Łukašenka said “the situation in the foreign exchange market must remain under control.” “It is still necessary to prevent excessive volatility of the national currency’s exchange rate,” he stressed.
Last week (September 1–5), the rubel lost 1.22 percent against the dollar, 0.83 percent against the euro, 0.94 percent against the yuan and 0.06 percent against the Russian ruble.
The Belarusian currency gained 14.3 percent against the dollar in the first eight months of 2025.
