Lithuania links Minsk-Vilnius bus cancellations to breach of limits

August 13, Pozirk. Recent cancellation of several bus trips between Vilnius and Minsk is linked to violations of existing limits on the number of buses crossing the border, Delfi reports, citing the Lithuanian transport ministry.
Bus operators have already been warned, it added, rejecting claims that the reduction in services was linked to the Belarusian-Russian Zapad 2025 drill scheduled for September 12–16.
The Lithuania-registered Eurolines bus company confirmed cancellation of 10 bus connections between Minsk and Vilnius, saying it will make only three trips a day.
Earlier, the Belarusian state-run Minsktrans bus operator canceled trips on several routes between the capitals, citing the need to obtain necessary authorizations.
