BelPol: Rahačoŭ plant supplies key parts for Russian tank sights
July 24, Pozirk. The Dyjaprajektar Plant in Rahačoŭ, Homiel Region, supplies key components for Sosna-U sights used in Russian T-72B3 and T-80U tanks, said the BelPol intelligence group.
“The enterprise performs two important functions in the Russian defense industry’s sights production chain,” it said in a press release. One function is to produce the LV-10 part for the Sosna-U laser sight. The other is to act as a shell company for dealing between Chinese sight suppliers and the Minsk-based Pielenh company, a leading optoelectronic designer.
Russia’s Pretsizionnye Lazernye Sistemy (PLS) helps Dyjaprajektar produce parts for the Sosna-U. The Belarusian plant sends bulks of LV-10 parts to the PLS and receives finished products from them. Dyjaprajektar then “checks and adjusts” the LV-10s.
In 2024, Dyjaprajktar ordered 600 caps for the device “from the second largest Belarusian sights maker”—the Minsk-based Vavilov MMZ plant targeted by Western sanctions, the organization noted. It cited the plant’s letter saying that the products are intended to meet Russia’s state defense order and contractual obligations with Pielenh.
In 2024, Dyjaprajektar produced 1,800 LV-10s for Sosna-U sights, BelPol said.
