Kučynski handed Baker Cichanoŭskaja’s letter to US President Donald Trump. He also thanked the US government for securing the release of Belarusian political prisoners, including Śviatłana’s husband Siarhiej Cichanoŭski.
“The consultations in the White House were warm and productive. Andy Baker has a major influence and an important role in President Donald Trump’s administration. This meeting is a significant step forward in our dialogue with the United States. We will continue this cooperation to free Belarusian political prisoners and bring about positive change in our country,” Kučynski said.
