August 2, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian athlete Ivan Litvinovi\u010d has won the gold medal in men’s trampoline at the Paris Games with 63.090 points. Chinese athletes have won the silver and the bronze with 61.890 and 60.950 points, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is Belarusians’ second medal at the 2024 Olympics. Earlier today, Vijaleta Bardzi\u0142o\u016dskaja won the silver in women’s trampoline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2021, Litvinovi\u010d claimed the men’s gold medal at the Tokyo Games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine opposed his inclusion in the 2024 Olympics. Its Olympic committee and sports ministry accused the athlete of supporting war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viktar \u0141uka\u0161enka, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka’s eldest son who heads the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Belarus, has congratulated Litvinovi\u010d, saying that “Belarusian trampoline school is one of the world’s strongest.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusians contend as individual neutral athletes (AINs). All athletes from Belarus and Russia who are eligible to compete in the Olympics have been approved by a review panel set up by the International Olympic Committee in March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last month, the NOC of Belarus approved the list of 16 AINs for the Paris Games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2024 Olympics began on July 26 and will continue until August 11. China leads in the medal standings with 13 gold, eight silver and nine bronze medals. It is followed by France, Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.
