{"id":9653,"date":"2023-11-01T16:28:06","date_gmt":"2023-11-01T13:28:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/?post_type=articles&#038;p=9653"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"nuclear-plants-unit-2-accepted-by-government-commission","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/9653\/","title":{"rendered":"Nuclear plant\u2019s Unit 2 accepted by government commission"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>November 1, <em>Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> A government commission has signed a deed of acceptance for Unit 2 of the Belarusian nuclear power plant (NPP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe commission\u2019s decision draws on positive conclusions of regulatory authorities and the Belarusian NPP working commission, as well as on the license issued by the Ministry for Emergency Management for commercial operation of Unit 2,\u201d said the energy ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Locat\u00aded near Astraviec, Hrod\u00adna region, some 10 miles off the Lithuan\u00adian bor\u00adder, the Belaru\u00adsian NPP has been designed by Rus\u00adsi\u00ada\u2019s Rosatom and built with a Russ\u00adian loan. Lithua\u00adnia views the plant as unsafe and describes it as a \u201cgeopo\u00adlit\u00adi\u00adcal weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unit 1 start\u00aded pilot oper\u00ada\u00adtion in Novem\u00adber 2020, and com\u00admer\u00adcial oper\u00ada\u00adtion, in June 2021. It was dis\u00adcon\u00adnect\u00aded from the grid on Octo\u00adber 6 for main\u00adte\u00adnance. Unit 2 has been oper\u00adat\u00ading in a pilot mode since May 13. It suc\u00adcess\u00adful\u00adly com\u00adplet\u00aded the 15-day equip\u00adment tests in mid-Octo\u00adber, accord\u00ading to Rus\u00adsi\u00ada\u2019s Rosatom.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>November 1, Pozirk.
