July 16, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The stockpiles of unsold industrial goods increased by 0.5 percent year on year to 8.76 billion rubels ($2.68 billion) on July 1, the Belarusian National Statistical Committee (Bie\u0142stat) reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first six months of 2024, the inventories accounted for 64 percent of the average monthly output.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In April, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka expressed concern about the build-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWarehouses are bursting. In 2023, inventories increased by 23 percent,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe responsible deputy prime minister is reassuring me: it\u2019s ok and it is always like that, we are going to sell everything. But we measure these stockpiles period to period. And how much equipment is stored at dealerships, which for many have become additional overseas warehouses?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Industrial inventories decreased by 2.2 percent between January 1 and July 1, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
