July 5, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states are involved in serious systemic changes in world politics, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka said yesterday at the SCO Plus meeting in Astana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These changes bring about a global multipolar system of international security and cooperation, he said, according to his press office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He accused the “Washington-London hegemon” of treating the world as its property and billions of people as a means to its well-being. This attitude is the root cause of challenges to international security, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The war in Ukraine was “provoked in the framework of this philosophy,” according to \u0141uka\u0161enka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He went on to say that the SCO should respond to international challenges with unity and cohesion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He called for consolidation and the creation of a “Greater Eurasia.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His remarks echoed the “golden billion” conspiracy theory claiming that the Western elite is seeking to redistribute a significant portion of the world’s wealth in its favor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SCO awarded Belarus full membership during its summit held in Astana on July 3\u20134.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SCO was founded in 2001 by the leaders of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. India, Iran and Pakistan joined the organization later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
