June 9, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja has welcomed the introduction of a new edition of Belarus Democracy Act in the US legislature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This important bill, currently under consideration in the House of Representatives, further emphasizes our sovereignty & national identity,” she said<\/a> on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It condemns the \u0141uka\u0161enka regime’s repressive actions, supports our democratic aspirations & calls to reinforce sanctions. It also demands the immediate release of political prisoners & an end to the use of the territory of Belarus for Russian aggression against Ukraine,” she noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
