May 10, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian border guards found two lifeless bodies near the border with Latvia in the Viciebsk region yesterday, the State Border Committee reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two men died as a result of “actions by Latvian security forces,” it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Investigative Committee, for its part, said the migrants’ bodies had “signs of a visit to the neighboring state,” such as “traces of violence and lack of personal belongings and documents.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators found that some of their clothes were made in India and Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian authorities have reported the deaths of 54 foreigners at the EU border since 2021, including 25 near Poland, nine near Lithuania and 20 near Latvia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
