May 1, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>The Belarusian rubel lost 2.41 percent of its value against the US dollar in the first four months of 2024, falling from 3.1775 to 3.2542 rubels, Pozirk<\/em>\u2018s analysis of the central banks\u2019 data showed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus ranked fifth among the ex-Soviet countries in terms of its currency depreciation in January-April 2024 after Ukraine with 4.44 percent and the three Baltic States with 3.09 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moldova ranked sixth with 2.36 percent followed by Russia with 2.33 percent and Uzbekistan with 2.28 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Georgia’s currency strengthened against the US dollar by 0.22 percent; Tajikistan’s, by 0.3 percent; Kyrgyzstan’s, by 0.48 percent; Kazakhstan’s, by 2.89 percent; Armenia’s, by 4.15 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official exchange rate of the US dollar remained unchanged in Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan since 2018 and 2015, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2023, Belarusian rubel depreciated by 16.13 percent against the dollar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
