April 25, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian border guards will set up a new station in the village of Kamaryn, Homiel region, 300 meters away off the border with Ukraine’s Chernihiv region, Flagshtok<\/em> reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It cited a public invitation by the regional construction department to submit bids for the contract. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus suspended the operation of the Kamaryn border crossing, like other similar facilities at the border with Ukraine, after Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022. The bridge over the Dniapro was destroyed in this area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The facility in Kamaryn will be the seventh border guard station opened in the Homiel region since the beginning of the war. Flagshtok <\/em>reports that new stations are also being built in the Brest region, which borders Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 14, at the opening of the Baravoje station at the border with Ukraine in the Mazyr district, the chairman of the regional executive committee, Ivan Krupko, announced that in 2024, two new border stations will be commissioned in the Homiel region, and another would be renovated. He did not specify their locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The border between Belarus and Ukraine is 1,084.2 km long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
