April 4, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Agnieszka Romaszewska-Guzy, former CEO of the Polish-based television station Belsat<\/em>, has announced that yesterday she filed a lawsuit against its parent company TVP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last month, she said TVP fired her as a revenge for her principled position. Romaszewska-Guzy was succeeded by Alaksiej Dzikavicki. The press office of the Polish broadcaster attributed the reshuffle to “working out a new model for TVP’s foreign channels,” which are funded by the foreign ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to her latest Facebook post, Romaszewska-Guzy dedicated 18 years to Belsat<\/em>, sacrificing her personal life, entertainment and socializing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The management drove a wedge into a professional team, ruining friendships and solidarity, something one should not get away with in a normal country, she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She called on supporters to help her cover the litigation costs, and pledged to donate the remainder to the Solidarity Zone foundation, which supports some of the station’s projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
