March 26, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) was behind the February 2023 attack on the Russian A-50 early warning and control aircraft at a military airfield near Minsk, said SBU chief Vasyl Malyuk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aircraft radar system was rendered unusable, he said in an interview broadcast by Ukraine’s ICTV<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alaksandar Azara\u016d, head of the ByPol association of former Belarusian law enforcement officers, said in July 2023 that the attack was a joint operation by the ByPol and Ukraine\u2019s security service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explosions at the Ma\u010duli\u0161\u010dy air base were reported on February 26, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 7, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka blamed the attack on Kyiv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus\u2019 Committee for State Security (KGB) said over 20 people were arrested in connection with the incident, including an alleged Ukrainian agent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
