December 29, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The family of late media proprietor Juryj Zisier has lost the ownership of the Tut.by<\/em> domain name, his daughter Ja\u016dhienija \u010carnia\u016dskaja said on Facebook today, blaming the Committee for State Security (KGB) for the loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The authorities crushed Zisier’s heavyweight news portal in May 2021, making 15 arrests, but the family apparently retained ownership of the brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KGB has also “extrorted” other expensive domain names, such as Afisha.by<\/em>, Jenny.by<\/em>, and Newstut.by<\/em>, \u010carnia\u016dskaja said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It took the authorities a week and a half to grab the assets, she said. There were issues with registration data on the hosting site, and officials wanted her to show up in person to fix them. However, this was just an attempt to get her jailed, she suggested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
