Pressure on staff and members and the unfavorable legal environment often contributed to these decisions to terminate operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government banned unregistered organizations and prosecuted citizens for &#8220;extremism funding&#8221; and membership in &#8220;extremist groups.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lawtrend praised public initiative competitions in some regions as a basis for self-organization and self-realization at the local level.
