The government added beer and soft drinks from Lithuania and Poland, citing sufficient production of similar products in Belarus.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t On January 1, 2022, Belarus imposed a six-month embargo on a number of imported goods in response to sanctions by Western countries. It banned food imports from the EU, the US, Albania, the UK, Iceland, Canada, Liechtenstein, Norway, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Switzerland.
