He replaced Joanna Kazana-Wisniowiecki, who led the office since 2018.<\/p>\n<p> Ardu\u00e7 represented the UN refugee agency in Belarus since February. He worked for UNHCR since 2002 in various countries, including Kosovo, Zambia, Ukraine and Iran.<\/p>\n<p> A lawyer with degrees in international law and European Union law, he also studied political science and philosophy in Germany.<\/p>\n<p>The United Nations opened an office in Belarus in 1992 to support national efforts for economic development and social progress.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>June 1, BPN.
