Kastusio\u016d pleaded not guilty.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cUntil the very end, we hoped that it will be the shortest possible, sentence under this [Criminal Code] article: eight years, given Kastusio\u016d\u2019s minimal involvement in this case, as evident even from the evidence presented,\u201d Anton\u010dyk said.<\/p>\n<p> He noted that Kastusio\u016d had no had face-to-face&nbsp;meetings or travels, only participated in a Zoom call with other suspects.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cIt is clear that he was invited to chat on Zoom, and signed up for it assuming that it will be an exchange of opinions on the country\u2019s situation,\u201d Anton\u010dyk said. \u201cIt is unlikely that any conspiracy was announced in advance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> All this turned out to be \u201csecret&nbsp;services\u2019 game\u201d that most likely originated in Russia, Anton\u010dyk added.<\/p>\n<p>Another reason why Kastusio\u016d\u2019s relatives expected a lighter sentence was the state of his health, the son-in-law continued: \u201cHis cancer has not disappeared.
