November 2, Pozirk.<\/em> <\/strong>Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has approved a draft intergovernmental visa waiver agreement with the Dominican Republic, his press office reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three years ago, the Belarusian ruler had already endorsed a draft of a similar intergovernmental agreement as a basis for negotiations. However, it was not signed at that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current agreement would allow citizens of both countries to enter, exit and transit through each other\u2019s territory without a visa for stays of up to 30 days per visit, with a maximum of 90 days per calendar year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka authorized the foreign ministry to negotiate and sign the deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A single-entry visa for the Dominican Republic currently costs $145, excluding additional fees and expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusians with a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa or a permanent residence permit in a European Union country may enter the Dominican Republic as tourists without a separate visa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
